FAQs
Do you Travel?
Absolutely! Most weddings I document require some form of travel. If your wedding involves travel, I include all necessary travel costs in your custom package. If you're interested in learning more about my custom options, fill out my inquiry form to begin the conversation. I’d love to talk more!
How do we book?
First, complete my inquiry form on the “Inquire” page of my website to begin the process.Because my clients live in various locations and have unique needs, I take time to craft a custom pricing proposal tailored specifically to your wedding day.
Once you’ve reviewed your custom proposal, a 50% retainer and a signed contract are required to officially secure your date on my calendar.
Do you shoot film?
I’ve fallen in love with film for the timeless quality it brings to every photograph & I how it reflects the values of preserving heritage while living fully in the present moment. Every wedding day is documented using a blend of film and digital photography. I shoot both medium format and 35mm film on a variety of cameras, weaving nostalgic into your gallery.
Typically, film makes up about 40–50% of the final collection.
When can I expect my wedding photos back?
Typically, 8–16 weeks after your wedding date.
I’m camera shy. Will it be awkward?
My goal is for you and your partner to feel at ease, focused on each other—not the camera. I aim to fade into the background so you can experience moments with your partner and your guests, uninhibited.
One of the ways I help ease the pain of the camera is for us to get more comfortable around each other before the wedding. That way, when I show up on your wedding day, there isn’t a stranger pointing a camera at you.
I approach your wedding as a guest with a camera, here to witness and preserve your love for years to come—not as a bossy photographer giving marching orders. Your day isn’t about posing for a camera; it’s about vows, the beginning of a new chapter, and the merging of families.
So, take a breath—there’s no need to perform here.
Do you retouch photos?
Yes, I edit all photos with an emphasis on natural color, light, and composition for a timeless look. However, I don’t make drastic changes to people’s appearances. My goal is to capture you authentically, yet in the most flattering way possible.
How do you handle file security?
File security is a top priority for me. My digital cameras write to two SD cards simultaneously while photographing, creating duplicate copies of every image the moment I press the shutter. After the wedding, the SD cards are immediately backed up to my computer hard drive, creating a third copy.
When traveling, my gear always stays with me as a carry-on to ensure it never leaves my sight. I use a padded, waterproof case specifically designed to protect camera equipment during transit. Once I’m home, my hard drive is backed up again to an additional external hard drive, creating a fourth layer of backup.
As for film, I take special precautions as well. While traveling, film is hand-checked through security to avoid damage from x-rays. When it’s time to ship film to the lab for developing, I use AirTags to monitor its location and ensure safe delivery.
Although film naturally carries more risk, it’s a key reason why digital photography remains an important part of my workflow — ensuring that every moment of your wedding day is captured securely across both mediums.
