Welcome.
Your wedding is going to be such a special weekend. Every celebration takes on the heartbeat of the couple behind it—and I’m so excited to see how your story comes to life.
With everyone who has supported you through different seasons gathered to celebrate your marriage, my hope is that your photographs feel deeply you—filled with joy, connection, and the kind of moments that will mean even more as the years go on—real, textured, and timeless.
Space to be Yourself
The Experience
After a decade of documenting weddings, I’ve continuously shaped my client experience to prioritize clear communication, strong relationships, and services tailored to each couple’s unique needs—allowing your wedding day feel like your own, defined by your family, friends, personal history, and vision for the day.
The 500-person wedding with an extroverted couple, who want to dance all night with friends will look entirely different than the 40-person destination wedding with a couple who values time alone, and a slower pace—and both are equally wonderful. This is why I no longer believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to wedding photography. Instead, I want to get to know you—your values, the experience you envision, and the people who matter most to you. I want you to feel relaxed, cared for, and understood on your wedding day—whatever it may look like.

What to Expect in Working with Ruthie
01.
Knowing when to step in and when to step back is so important on a wedding day. We’ll be close by throughout your wedding, so reading the room and adjusting alongside the emotions of the day is key. We’re sensitive to emotional moments and want you to feel completely comfortable—not like you’re performing for a camera. Our goal is to feel like a friend with a camera, there to celebrate with you and document the day as it naturally unfolds. Your experience will always be the most important thing to us.
Space to Make Memories.
02.
Over the years, I’ve had the joy of documenting weddings across the country for so many wonderful couples. I know how important this day is for you and your family, and take seriously documenting your memories. I have years of experience shooting in every lighting situation you can think of, problem-solving quickly, working with 100s of incredible vendor teams, and serving couples like yourself on their most special day. I adore this job & if I could give my clients each the moon, I would. I feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible celebrations Ive been part of for my kind, thoughtful clients.
9 Years of Experience.
03.
All of my packages include both film and digital photographs to create timeless heirlooms that capture the essence of your memories, allowing them to age gracefully for years to come. My focus is on preserving the genuine emotions and moments that help you remember what is most important to you.
Timeless, Not Trends.
04.
Your connection to one another—the way you hold hands in a way that’s uniquely yours, or the glance you share across a room—is your real, vulnerable relationship. I’m there to be your eyes, noticing and documenting both the subtle and the obvious expressions of love between you. I value the relationship between us, too, and want you to feel at ease, comfortable, and confident that you’re in good hands.
Relationship at the heartbeat.

“Having Ruthie photograph our wedding was like having a dear friend with you all day.”
“Her warmth and professionalism were so comforting. She was quick to respond leading up to the wedding and provided our photos back to us in a very timely manner. We were so happy with every aspect of our wedding, and having Ruthie as our photographer was a VERY significant part of this. We are so grateful!”

Questions?
-
You will receive an invoice via email where you can pay online with a debit or credit card.
-
Within 3 months from your wedding date.
-
The number of photos you receive depends on the hours of coverage you book. For example, a small elopement will result in fewer photos than a multi-day wedding simply due to the amount of time. However, on average, couples can expect between 600-800 photos in their final gallery.

Film is a medium I love for its timeless quality. It helps me stay present in the moment and captures certain moments in a unique way. I shoot anywhere from 40-60% of couples' wedding days on film, but I view this as a medium of choice. Digital photography has its strengths for documenting specific moments of your day, while film captures others in a way that feels more authentic. The combination of both allows me to create a well-rounded gallery that truly tells your story.
The Meaning Behind the Work
Some of my most cherished possessions are photos of family members I never got to meet, and others who passed long before they should have.
Photographs take us back to places we can’t otherwise go—they remind us of feelings and moments otherwise lost.
My desire is to help preserve memories —photos of grandparents dancing together, mom squeezing you tight before you walk down the aisle, your sibling hiding tears during the ceremony.
The day of a wedding is filled with celebration—reuniting families, joyful tears, and memories of those who are no longer with us. Through it all, your story is continually being written, and I’m honored to share in telling it.
